Berney Aucoin is vice president, Structure and Strategy, for Sequent Energy Management. In this role he provides analytical valuation support, which enables the company to offer asset management and structured energy services to utilities, power plants, municipalities, industrials, storage operators and other natural gas clients across the country. Sequent is a top-10 marketer of natural gas in the country and a subsidiary of AGL Resources (NYSE: GAS).

He joined Sequent Energy Management in 2004, leading structuring efforts. In 2008 he was named vice president, Structuring, and in 2010 he was given additional responsibilities for the company's strategic direction.

Mr. Aucoin began his natural gas career at Enron, where he held various positions in structuring and marketing & business development for both the natural gas and power sectors. He then worked in the Houston office of American Electric Power where he led AEP's structuring activities for the Texas and Louisiana intrastate gas assets.

Active in his community, Mr. Aucoin is involved in various church, school and charity organizations.

He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama. A native of Louisiana, Mr. Aucoin has been a resident of Houston for more than two decades. He and his wife of 20 years are the parents of four children.
