President, Pivotal Home Solutions
Robin Boren is president of Pivotal Home Solutions, an Illinois-based company that provides homeowners with peace of mind and added financial stability regarding their energy service delivery, systems and appliances through a suite of home protection products and services. She has held the position since 2012.
Boren is responsible for ensuring that the award-winning J.D. Power and Associates Certified Call Center in Naperville provides customers, who hold approximately 1.2 million service agreements, with the right home protection solutions to fit their lifestyle and budget. She also oversees relationships with a network of more than 700 highly-trained, professional service providers and the operations of a wholly-owned HVAC business in Illinois.
During her tenure at Pivotal Home Solutions, Boren has doubled the size of the company with the acquisition of another retail services business, expanded its reach in five states and completed a company-wide rebranding campaign.
Since joining AGL Resources in 2009, Boren has focused her business acumen on growing the company and ensuring its strong financial future. She played a strategic role in AGL Resources merger with Nicor Inc. in 2011, securing committed financing for the cash consideration of the merger and also led the financing or refinancing of short- and long-term debt totaling more than $2 billion for the company that year. She has served as assistant treasurer and was responsible for corporate finance functions, including bank and rating agency relationships, capital market and merger and acquisition activities. Prior to joining AGL Resources, she was a senior capital markets originator for SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, Inc.
Boren serves on the AGL Resources' LEAD (Leadership, Empowerment, Acceptance, Diversity) Council and is passionate about charitable causes that make a positive impact on communities in Illinois, including United Way, March of Dimes and American Red Cross. Greater Chicago Region and has led AGL Resources' March for Babies campaign in Illinois in support of the March of Dimes.
In addition to her philanthropic work, Boren proudly supports community and economic development initiatives as a member of The Executives' Club of Chicago.
Boren is a graduate of Presbyterian College and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She lives in Naperville with her husband and daughter.
