Wendell Dallas
Vice President and General Manager, Atlanta Gas Light

Wendell Dallas was named vice president and general manager of Atlanta Gas Light in 2006. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations and market development of Atlanta Gas Light. He previously served as general manager of the company.

Mr. Dallas has more than 20 years of operations, management and engineering experience in the natural gas industry. He joined Atlanta Gas Light in 2000 and served as a service area manager in Macon and was based in Savannah as region manager for Southeast Georgia.

Mr. Dallas came to Atlanta Gas Light from El Paso Energy's Macon office, where he was an operations supervisor. In that role he was responsible for the operations of the natural gas transmission pipeline facilities in central Georgia.

Mr. Dallas is a graduate of Leadership Georgia’s Class of 2006 and a graduate of Leadership Savannah’s Class of 2004. He is a gubernatorial appointee to the State of Georgia’s Workforce Investment Board and serves as vice chairman.

A member of Auburn University’s Engineering Alumni Council, Mr. Dallas chairs the council’s academic assessment committee. He also serves on the boards of the Atlanta Neighborhood Development Partnership, Gwinnett Technical College and Communities in Schools of Georgia.

Mr. Dallas, a native of Opelika, Ala., earned a degree in mechanical engineering from Auburn University

He, his wife and their three children reside in Gwinnett County, Georgia.
