John Jamieson was named vice president, Retail Energy Operations, AGL Resources (NYSE: GAS) and senior vice president, SouthStar Energy Services in December 2011. In this role he will have profit and loss responsibility as well as operational responsibility for retail energy marketing, sales, billing, customer service and business process outsourcing.
Mr. Jamieson brings more than 20 years of gas industry experience to his role. Previously, he served in Strategic Planning, Market Development and Business Analysis roles at SouthStar Energy Services. Prior to that, he served AGL Resources and Atlanta Gas Light in various engineering and marketing roles.
Mr. Jamieson is a board member of Imagine It! Children's Museum of Atlanta. He recently served on the boards of Hands on Georgia and Thanks Mom and Dad, a division of the Atlanta Regional Commission.
He earned his electrical engineering degree from Clemson University and his master's in business administration from Georgia State University,
Mr. Jamieson lives in Atlanta with his wife and two children.
