Arthur E. Johnson was named senior vice president of corporate strategic development of Lockheed Martin Corporation, an advanced technology company engaged in research, design, development, manufacture and integration of advanced technology systems, in 1999 where he served until his retirement in March 2009. He was responsible for corporate and business strategy development, strategic partnerships and joint ventures. Mr. Johnson also served as vice president of corporate strategic development from 1999 until 2001 and president and chief operating officer of the company's Information and Services Sector from January 1997 until August 1997. Prior to joining Lockheed Martin Corporation, Mr. Johnson held several senior management positions, including vice president of Federal Systems Group at Loral Corporation and president and chief operating officer of IBM's Federal Systems division.
Mr. Johnson currently serves as a director of Eaton Corporation plc, as an independent trustee of Fidelity Investments Fixed Income and Asset Allocation Funds and as a director of Booz Allen Hamilton Holding Corporation. He formerly served as a director of Delta Air Lines Inc. and IKON Office Solutions Corporation.
Mr. Johnson, 68, has been a director of AGL Resources since February 2002.
