Vice President, Customer Experience
AGL Resources
As vice president of Customer Experience, Connie McIntyre is responsible for enhancing and sustaining the customer experience for the 4.5 million customers in the seven states served by AGL Resources (NYSE:GAS) utilities: Atlanta Gas Light, Chattanooga Gas, Elizabethtown Gas, Elkton Gas, Florida City Gas, Nicor Gas and Virginia Natural Gas. She oversees customer care center operations, billing, payment, credit functions and supporting customer initiatives. Ms. McIntyre played a key role in the centralization of AGL Resources' customer care operations, creating operational efficiencies and improving customer service. AGL Resources is the largest natural gas-only distribution company in the United States by customer count.
Since joining Atlanta Gas Light in 1977, Ms. McIntyre has held various leadership positions throughout the company that have given her experience and insight into customer service from a number of perspectives. She served as region manager of one of Atlanta Gas Light's largest regions where she oversaw all field operations.
Previously, Ms. McIntyre served as director of the company's customer care center and has held several management positions in information systems and process improvements, playing a key role in implementing the company's computerized customer information system in 1990. She also led the AGL Resources marketer services team through the deregulation of the Georgia residential natural gas market in 1998.
Ms. McIntyre currently serves as chair of the American Gas Association Customer Service Committee. She sits on the boards of the American Cancer Society and YWCA Atlanta and is very active in other community and civic organizations in the Atlanta metro area.
A Georgia native, Ms. McIntyre graduated from Georgia College with a bachelor in business administration and holds a master of business administration from Brenau University. She is a graduate of Leadership North Fulton and a certified customer service professional.
She and her husband live in Johns Creek, Ga., and have two children and two grandchildren.
