Senior Vice President and President of Nicor Gas

Elizabeth W. "Beth" Reese was named senior vice president and president of Nicor Gas for AGL Resources (NYSE:GAS) in June 2012. Ms. Reese is the first female to serve as president of Nicor Gas, the company's largest natural gas utility based in Illinois. In this role, Ms. Reese has responsibility for the utility business unit results of Nicor Gas, which provides natural gas service to more than 2.2 million residential, commercial and industrial customers in northern Illinois.
Previously, Ms. Reese served as senior vice president and president of retail services where she was responsible for overseeing and expanding the company's home services and solutions offered through Nicor National.
Ms. Reese also played an integral role in leading the complex integration planning efforts for AGL Resources' acquisition of Nicor Inc in 2011. She was responsible for executing the company's integration strategy and achieving results while ensuring that the cultural and change management aspects of the effort were realized. The successful integration planning created the largest natural gas-only distribution company in the United States based on customer count.
Prior to that, Ms. Reese served as vice president of Operational Planning and Analysis, overseeing operational and financial planning for the company's largest business segment which was comprised of six utilities -- Atlanta Gas Light, Chattanooga Gas, Elizabethtown Gas, Elkton Gas, Florida City Gas and Virginia Natural Gas.
Since joining AGL Resources in November 2000, Ms. Reese has applied her business acumen in an officer role in various business areas of the company including: business innovation, customer service, finance and as controller. Prior to joining AGL Resources, she was a senior manager for the worldwide accounting and consulting firm of Deloitte LLP.
While an Atlanta-based executive, Ms. Reese served on the board of directors for CHRIS Kids, a community-based multi-service mental health treatment organization for children and families, and on the board of directors for Imagine It! - The Children's Museum of Atlanta, whose mission is to spark imagination and inspire discovery and learning for all children through the power of play.
A native of Maryland, Ms. Reese received her bachelor's degree in business administration and economics from St. Andrew's Presbyterian College and her master's of accountancy from the University of Georgia. She also completed a study abroad program at the University of Stirling, Scotland.
Ms. Reese lives in Naperville, Ill. with her husband and daughter.
