James A. Rubright was named Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of RockTenn Company, an integrated paperboard and packaging company, in 1999. Prior to joining RockTenn, he served as Executive Vice President of Sonat, Inc., an energy company, from 1994 until 1999, where he was responsible for Sonat’s interstate natural gas pipeline group and energy services businesses. He also served as an officer of Sonat Exploration and Sonat Energy Services and as a partner in the law firm of King & Spalding, LLP.
Mr. Rubright currently serves as a Director of RockTenn Company and Forestar Group, Inc. He was formerly a Director of Avondale, Inc. and Oxford Industries, Inc.
Mr. Rubright, 64, has been a Director of AGL Resources since August 2001.
