Sequent Energy Management
Mark Rueff was named vice president, C&I Central for Sequent Energy Management in December 2011. He is responsible for growing the company's commercial and industrial accounts in the central region of the United States and delivering exceptional customer service to those customers. Sequent is a top-10 marketer of natural gas in the country and a subsidiary of AGL Resources (NYSE: GAS).
Mr. Rueff brings more than 15 years of experience in the natural gas industry to his role. Previously, Mr. Rueff served as vice president, Origination for Nicor Enerchange and held a variety of positions since joining the company in 2000. He has served as director of Origination, director of Storage and Marketing, and manager of the Chicago Hub. Previously, Mr. Rueff worked in the Accounting and Finance teams of Nicor Gas.
Before joining Nicor Gas, Mr. Rueff worked in accounting, finance and new business development at Arthur Anderson.
Active in his community, Mr. Rueff has served on several community boards as a Trustee. Currently, he serves as a Trustee for the Waterman Community Fire Protection District.
Mr. Rueff earned his undergraduate degree from Northern Illinois University and his master's degree in business administration from Aurora University.
He lives with his wife and three children in Waterman, Ill.
