Central Valley Gas Storage
Location: Princeton (unincorporated), Colusa County, California
Planned Capacity: High deliverability, multi-cycle storage field, 11 billion cubic feet of working gas capacity
Pipeline: 15 miles of 24-inch pipeline connecting the storage field to PG&E's transmission system
Central Valley Gas Storage, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of AGL Resources, is developing a market area natural gas storage facility in the Sacramento River valley of north-central California. The facility will interconnect with the gas transmission system of Pacific Gas and Electric. Construction of the facility began in April 2011 and initial service is expected in 2012. Planned Capacity: Two caverns 12 billion cubic feet (bcf) working gas capacity; Phase 2 (pending approval) will add two additional caverns with 16.6 BCF capacity
Pipelines: Facility can interconnect with up to eight intrastate pipelines
AGL Resources is constructing a natural gas storage facility in the Texas Gulf Coast region that will be well positioned to link new supply sources and growing natural gas markets across the U.S. The first storage cavern was placed in commercial service in September 2010; the second cavern is scheduled for completion in 2012. Additionally, the company plans to add two additional storage caverns, with construction commencing in 2012 and 2014, respectively, pending approval from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

Capacity: Two caverns, 7.5 billion cubic feet working gas capacity. Pipelines: 16 miles of dual 16-inch pipelines that provide interchange capabilities for the facility's eight large-capacity interconnections.
